JUUNOO and WAAK: Building a 100% circular future together
JUUNOO is a pioneer in circular construction. Through its reusable partition walls and modular workplace systems, the company demonstrates that circularity is more than a buzzword or theoretical concept. It is a viable and practical solution that works in reality and generates business. WAAK Metal Assembly supports JUUNOO in the realisation of its 100% circular products.
JUUNOO: Pioneer and leader in circular and modular construction
Based in Zwevegem, Belgium, JUUNOO manufactures circular and modular partition wall systems, glass partitions and pods for flexible working environments. As a pioneer in circular and sustainable construction, the company has gained recognition at both national and international level.
Too often, circularity is used almost indiscriminately as a buzzword or is regarded as little more than an appealing narrative on paper that fails to meet business expectations in practice. JUUNOO, however, proves that circularity can generate profit and serve as the foundation of a company’s activities.

100 % circular: Maximally reusable partition walls
JUUNOO’s (de)mountable partition walls illustrate this perfectly. They consist of a large metal frame in which acoustic panels can be fitted. The frame itself is made of I- and C-shaped metal profiles that can be extended and clicked together. This makes the walls easy to dismantle and relocate whenever and wherever required. The final circular touch to this concept is that, when a customer no longer needs the walls, JUUNOO buys them back, refurbishes them and reintroduces them to the market. The result: no waste and the creation of ongoing business.

Technologie evolving with demand
Founded in 2017, JUUNOO is still a relatively young company. In its early years, the I- and C-profiles for the acoustic walls were punched and bent. However, after several years of rapid growth, this method proved neither financially viable nor sufficient to meet increasing demand.
JUUNOO therefore sought a faster and more cost-efficient alternative and turned to cold forming technology. Cold forming combines multiple operations into a single process and is significantly faster, making it particularly suitable for producing large volumes of metal profiles. JUUNOO found this technology at Avasco, a Diksmuide-based manufacturer of metal racking systems, water storage tanks and sheet metal processing solutions… and also a customer of WAAK!

JUUNOO finds necessary capacity at WAAK Metal Assembly
The capacity for assembling the I- and C-profiles also proved insufficient to meet JUUNOO’s needs. As further growth through existing partnerships was not an option, the company decided to pursue an alternative solution. Following a recommendation from its supplier Avasco, JUUNOO came into contact with WAAK.
During a visit to the production facilities of WAAK Metal Assembly, it immediately became clear to JUUNOO that WAAK not only had sufficient capacity, but also extensive experience in metalworking techniques and manual assembly.

JUUNOO and WAAK: an efficient end-to-end approach
JUUNOO supplies the I- and C-profiles for the acoustic walls to WAAK Metal Assembly, where they are assembled by WAAK’s employees. The finishing and the addition of customer-specific details or accents take place at JUUNOO.

This end-to-end approach works efficiently for both companies, as the expansion of the initial project scope demonstrates. In addition to assembling the frames, WAAK Metal Assembly will also bond the wooden wall panels with great precision. For the standard ‘AcouClick panel’, this involves two panels. For the ultra-quiet ‘SilentClick’, three panels are used.

Vooruitzicht: samen groei realiseren binnen de circulaire economie
The project outlook is equally positive. In 2026, WAAK is expected to assemble approximately 10,000 profiles for JUUNOO.
At WAAK, we are proud to collaborate with partners such as JUUNOO. Not only are they leaders in the sustainable and circular economy, but they are also proud ambassadors of the social economy. They recognise that social enterprises are an essential part of the (regular) economy, which is increasingly driven by sustainability and environmental care.
